potential rip off, wifi@sg suppose to be free but they are hard up for consumers' money, squeezing every drop of money from vulnerable customers. i already said telco shares cannot buy one, there is no future, in fact it's bleak and that's why they are thinking of devious ways to get their hands on our money, besides, the wifi@sg doesn't work well if you have tried, probably due to too many surfing at mrt stations... argh ptui...!:oIo:

SINGAPORE — SingTel today (Aug 12) unveiled a range of new mobile plans that come integrated with 2GB of Wi-Fi usage — on a network it promises will be better and faster than the free Wireless@SG network.

It is offering over 100 hotspots at malls and underground MRT stations when these plans are launched on Aug 19. By March 2015, this will increase to about 1,000 hotspots across the island, and double that a year later.

The catch: The six new Combo plans will replace the existing five Flexi plans for new and recontracting customers, and three of these plans will cost S$3 more as compared to the existing ones.

Besides having the Wi-Fi usage bundled in, the new plans will also offer up to 200 minutes more local talktime and up to 500 more SMSes.

The 24 MRT stations to have SingTel’s Wi-Fi network will be across all lines except the Downtown Line, and the malls include Raffles City, Junction 8 and Sembawang Shopping Centre.

Better, faster, more reliable... that's what it said for Mio tv.

No matter, I don't do business with Singtel.

When I terminated my ADSL subscription they actually asked me why I was terminating:D

I was directed to a "retention" person who tried to persuade me to stay on with Singtel. Obviously by then it was too late because I had already made alternative plans. If Singtel was serious in retaining it's customers they should improve their their rates & services.

Tell them that you'll be away from the country for a while. No need to talk long story.

4G = faster = more data transmission but data volume reduced from 12GB to 2GB, they did not revert back until today.

Digital land-line gives free unlimited talktime = competition for mobile airtime.
$3 more for the 100min airtime is probably to make mobile calls stays relevant in the long-run.

When I mentioned the ISP I was moving to, the Singtel rep obviously heard from many others who were also moving. They can't compete with $49 for 1Gbps

I am one of the stupid investor, who just want consistent dividend from singtel.

Nvm. Stupid or not stupid I do not really care. Can earn money is the most important thing.

just saw an article from straitstimes.com headlining good news for singtel customers, this piece of shit doesn't know what she is writing. shameless crony, it's because of this kind of sinkies, spore is going down.

i have worked under very experienced singtel veterans before, what current singtel is thinking, is all within my knowledge, pulling these kind of dirty and immoral pricing is therefore expected...

Make it shorter, tell them straight in their face... Singtel sucks!
and if they asked further...fuck them in their face again. This time make sure people around you can hear.
It's a golden opportunity I am always struck with in shopping centres.

when lhy was managed to f&n, i already know telco companies are in for a hard time. currently, the company is run by a sor hai...never will anything spectacular come out from there. yes, if there is, fire last year which cause major disruption for internet...if this sor hai knows how to think, she will know very well she is there to stand in to take the heat...

Is Singapore Telecommunications Limited Going To Be The First S$100 Billion Company In Singapore? - 5 hours ago
http://www.fool.sg/2014/08/12/is-si...e-the-first-s100-billion-company-in-singapore

Today Singtel share is $3.92 They stupid. If they dual list on NYSE, they will be worth at least $13.92 per share.

yes Sinktel communications is unbelievable......when i found out how massive it is,its mindblowing....their revenues is over 16 billion a year(compared to smrt revenue 1.1bil) and their profit margin is every company's wetdream....4 billion a year, almost 25% net margin......

i think singtel is making money hand over fist from sinkies.....their market cap is ridiculous......$64 billion....our sovereign wealth fund GIC is worth $300 billion can u imagine one company alone being worth $64 billion?

i think sinktel is a superpower.......they own telecoms network and infrastructure in more than 25 countries all over the world.

Back then for the reduced data bundle they offered you extra SMSes.
Instead of innovation....sg telcos are moving backwards....
Recently M1 kena complained of slower data after the first 1-2 Gbs used up....
Now they want to charge you for free wifi....well done these greedy fucktards just outdid themselves again.
