Doesn't Recommend
Negative Outlook
No opinion of CEO
I have been working at Singapore Post full-time
Pros
The company was on the right path of Transformation and was growing rapidly. However, most of the capable people left the organization.
Cons
Company is far behind from the technology point of view. CIO is completely incapable person who does not spend time to think or engagement people since he is not capable to run such senior level role. Leadership skills are lacking or completely "Nil". Most of the work is been done by his direct reports and each individual has his own mind set and process. CIO prefer his own friends to join the company and do not wish to hire anyone elseShow Less
Advice to Management
The remaining management team to do an audit on CIO capabilities. Spend funds for better purposes.
Pros
Good benefits
Stable. No retrenchment
Nice new office at loft@7
Cons
A lot of foreigners. Especially in senior leadership position. Half the ELG are foreigners. CEO. COO. CIO. Even the last few CFOs are foreigners.
VP/ AVP mostly are foreigners. While Singaporeans usually come in at much lower level.
Not a coincidence that my last 3 bosses in SP are all foreigners
Advice to Management
We need more singaporean in the leadership
Please develop the local talents instead of importing from overseas.
Pros
Decent medical benefits that covers spouses and children.
Flexible working hours
The headquarters at Paya Lebar is next to MRT, very convenient. IS department has been relocated to industrial area at Ubi which isn't convenient.
Cons
CIO is from India and us completely useless. He does nothing except aggressively creating top management jobs for his friends from India. And outsource as much jobs to Indian companies to line his own pocket.
IS department has no standard process. Each team comes up with their own process. No leadership to streamline work processes.
Big difference in salary for new hires ans for new Indian hires.

Advice to Management
Sack the current CIO and all the top management hired by him.
