Twit, who doesn't know Micro/Macro Economic, my first book in school on economics was John Lloyd Hanson
http://books.google.com.sg/books/about/A_textbook_of_economics.html?id=wQOxAAAAIAAJ&redir_esc=y "A textbook on Economics"..later I went into deeper stuff from John Maynard Keynes etc..
We are talking rice bowls, people rice bowls...the protection of people's rice bowl, of course we do not expect the government to 'pour rice' into the bowls, but the duty of the government in which we had voted for, at least protect that RICE BOWL...not break them! did they do that, no?? it was only, when the voting pattern start to change..did they attempt feebly to do something...how many had starved..but didn't 'die' yet! over these so many years.
Nothing to do with micro or macro managing the economic..who doesn't know that..the country gains, the income inequality is as wide as the distance between the earth & the sun..
Anyway...the SINgapore workers, deserve what they get & wished for.
