Singaporean forced to give bribe to Vietnamese immigration officer or his passport would be confiscated

No such thing as force. U pay up or u wait wat force none sense don't believe it. :cautious:

If u can actually know the person who is in charge of taking the bribe. It's worth the price.

It happens to me once during my first Vietnam trip, i remember the immigration officer telling me, oh you are from Spore and shamelessly asking me for a $30 tip, luckily I had some $10 notes with me and give it to him as he handed my passport back, and by the way his face really look the corrupted type when I first see him. on my next few trips a smarter me went to queue at a lady officer counter.

Viets give kopi money to their traffic police all the time. Their uniform is pale yellow, not to be confused with the tourist police who wear green.

Next time try using cigarettes as a bribe item. Not sure if you can pick up some at the duty-free shop.

A friend of mine went to Congo to work for a while, the officers at the customs were openly demanding bribes. No money give cigarettes etc also can.
