As of April 2026, the US has strengthened its sanctions regime against entities in Singapore, the UAE, and India, citing their alleged involvement in facilitating the illicit trade of sanctioned Russian and Iranian oil.
At least 10 Singapore-linked entities have been sanctioned for their alleged involvement in facilitating the Iranian oil trade.
