[Singapore] - S'pore community cat's box & blanket thrown away, ends up sleeping on cold hard ground

A community cat in Singapore ended up sleeping on the cold, hard ground this rainy season after she had her cosy cardboard box with warm blanket inside thrown away.

Before and after photos of the incident were put up on Facebook on Aug. 24, 2021, after the woman who provided the cat in the box with a blanket was outraged by their removal.

Box initially left under shelter​

The community cat, Gracie, was provided with a spacious cardboard box by another man, the woman revealed.

She said she then took the box and brought it under the sheltered area at the void deck as it was raining.

The blanket was provided by her.

Photos showed the tabby cat wrapped up in the blanket while in the box.

The cat lover wrote: "She was so happy in her box and residents were petting her joyfully."

"But suddenly, her box was missing and I found her curling up beside the lift. Someone threw away her beautiful box with warm blanket leaving Gracie with no box," she added.

The cat was seen in another photo curled up on the ground at what appeared to be the lift landing.

The woman implored by the end of her post: "Stop removing boxes for our community cats."

Probably the community cat went around doing her routine & the cleaners thought it was some garbage left behind & threw it away. Suggest to use paint marker to write "Home For Our Community Cat, Please Don't Throw Away". Alternatively can call up SPCA to secure it & put it up for adoption.
