Since I saw that middle aged man at the pantry, I just told him to replenish it. It’s pretty brainless stuff, just takes a bit of physical strength. He took one look at me and just walked away. I think guys who act like this are just embarrassing. So I shouted “And you call yourself a man?” He ignored me and kept walking. As I headed back to my office, I was going to tell my mentor about this guy, but we had to go for a meeting because the regional head of operations was giving everyone a briefing.

That is a very Sinkie attitude. How is any one going to run a bank properly if before he ticks off any junior employee he has to "csi" if the lowly twit is well connected or not! He will be damn busy doing unnecessary things. Maybe that's why DBS Bank so fucked up. Can't even integrate POSB properly.

On the other hand, the senior chap could also be well connected too and it would be to the people that really matter - his bosses. Besides, if his bosses got no principles, with his vast experience at senior level, he can join another bank with a salary increase to boot. That other bank will have to be an international one though. Sinkie bank equals plenty of people with Sinkie attitude.
