There are no provision in the Muslim holy book to emulate mohamed. The message was to be just and righteous. You do not need to follow a prophet yo do that.
Where there is or not, moslem scholars agreed that to follow islam, it is best for moslems to emulate mahomet, including in areas like fucking kids, raping women and banditry. If mahomet did it, it can't be wrong.
If the message was just to do good deeds, following mahomet is a bad example. mahomet himself did not obey the islamic laws. He had more than 4 wives, didn't he?
These are based on hearsays.

The 'hearsays as compiled by persian al-pocari are acknowledged as islamic scripture by moslems.
Mainstream moslems explain that because mahomet was a prophet, islamic laws did not apply to him. He was above those laws. So to most moslems, it's a non-issue that muhammad broke his own islamic laws.
