for your info old bastard lee kuan yew loved to war marks and spencer checker boxers.

Who shops in Mark and Spencer anyway... the old aunties who’d mostly died off

Tip of iceberg... younger generation mostly shop online. No one is keen to subsidise retail space when you can get the same shit online at 20% of the retail shop price. Covid merely accelerate the demise. Shop online, work from home, lower demand for office space and retail space

They're only shutting down one outlet. They probably did their calculations and find it unprofitable to continue feeding the REITS bloodsuckers.

Johor still have. Shithole is for morons

If not for the PAP govt's shameless patronage, we could have AEON or Tesco supermarkets in Sinkieland.

Better shopping experience, and not a dime spent to fund the fraudulent 'labour union'.

Remember econ minimart? Killed by pap. Once they control pricing whatever business you do will fail. The story of carrefour and giant

Before Corvid, I do all my grocery shopping at Giant in JB. Average about RMB300+ which can last me almost a month. If I shop at NTUC here, S$300 cannot even last me 2 weeks. It's just so damn expensive here.

i dont undeerstand why companies with deep pockets dont do a proper lease vs buy evaluation.

The high property price causing highrental rate, which is killing the retailers. Our garment pretends not to to know

Tesco is now Thai owned. By CP group. A company that breeds chicken.

Lucky Plaza is still super crowded every weekend. Even after allowing only odd or even NRIC/FIN numbers inside.

Less atas, more down-to-earth and abolishing the REITS bloodsuckers. That's how you revive retail.
