There are many retail casualties at malls. Every few weeks or months some small indie shop closes for good and gets boarded up.

On the boards:
"Look out for a new shopping experience coming your way!"

or a similar upbeat message.

ahh the good old tower records at pacific plaza, so big and spacious you can walk around and browse the comics to your heart content

my favorite better batter of the 80s at paragon was no more. :(

In the 1980s, there was a playground on the roof of Wisma Atria, accessible only by lift.

Sizzler's.

At least Tony Roma's, one of the older restaurants, is still in existence.

Though I believe the quality of the food has deteriorated.

tony roma's has horrible food, including their signature ribs. and this is after chapter 11 and a new management. i used to frequent their joint in mountain view until someone got shot.

The various Japanese restaurants and izakayas found at Hong Leong Gardens. That whole building has been demolished and a new condo/mall is built in its place.
