How come ICA can keep giving and renewing Singapore PR to Jiu Hu Kia who don't even stay in Singapore but just work here and go back to Johor to stay every night? Isn't PR to be given to those who want to commit and live in Singapore? This has got to stop, I am sure ICA has records of Jiu Hu Kia who go back every single day and just revoke their SPR status at the next renewal.

Citizenship no need renewal, PR need. So should just stop renewing Jiu Hu Kias SPR if it is shown that they don't live in Singapore, just like any other nationalities.

They will reply to you as follows: "What's wrong with having more Singapore PR contributing to GDP?"

You want more Malaysians around? Can't beat them, so join them?

Why not?enjoy the best of both worlds.would u rather remain tied down to sg and have PAP squeeze ur balls?lets all have dual citizenries and multiple pr,if pap doesnt like it stick it to them.sg is nothing more than a transient hotel for transient holiday workers.lets use Malaysia as a starting base, once we secured our exit strategy we target australia and canada next.

Residency is not a requirement for SPR. For the re-entry permit renewal, you just have to be employed for the year and pay to CPF prior to the next renewal. This is the country where you can apply for citizenship within 2 years and 1 year for certain cases. We lost the county long time ago.

Oh. So that is why we never see jobless PRs loitering around the kopitiams. Hope our hardworking cousins across the causeway will teach sinkies the value of hard work.

To kick off my journey to malaysian citizenry,iv already learned the phrase "selamat datang ke malaysia" and "keluar baris" and "maaf puan,di manakah jamban jah" and memorised the lyrics to my favourite rock song.

Actually it is more interesting than that. If you are SPR and you do not have a job, you do not apply to renew your re-entry permit until you get a job. You can remain in this country legally for donkey years as you are a PR. Just that you cannot leave the country and re-enter as PR. Once you leave you give up on PR. Those SPRs who are not aware are told this at immigration if their re-entry has expired and some of them cancel their travel out of the country. Note now why there are 2 documents - PR and re-entry permit.

Singaporeans have relied on Malaysians from the word go. 70% of food stalls will close and so will many of the small businesses. The transient Malaysian labour force who are PR routinely come every day for a period of 60 days and then stay out for 30 days before resuming their cycle. Not sure if this criteria has changed.

Most Malaysians do not take up citizenship because it does not serve their purpose. Only the silly ones do. The savings from reduced school fees is minimal.

Oh. So that is why we never see jobless PRs loitering around the kopitiams. Hope our hardworking cousins across the causeway will teach sinkies the value of hard work.
