Since school days, I take my daily pledge seriously. I pledged:

We, the citizens of Singapore, pledge ourselves as one united people, regardless of race, language or religion, to build a democratic society, based on justice and equality, so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation

I dont know whether the pap ministers still believe and mean what they had pledged

Can you take this rubbish seriously? Look around you if any of that shit is for real.

Old Fart mentioned in 2009 that equality is an aspiration, not reality.

I lost my respect for him when he said that. SG is bigger than PAP. Singapore is bigger than LKY.

I take what he said as rubbish as it is one senile man's view.

I still hold on to my pledge and students are still saying the pledge.

MOE and the govt disagree with LKY that SG Pledge is just an aspiration

坚持信念是好的,正所谓:横眉冷对千夫指,俯首甘为孺子牛。

It is good for one to uphold his belief, as the saying goes: Fierce-browed,I coolly defy a thousand pointing fingers, head bowed, like a willing ox I serve the children.
