OK for those who had ever worked in kitchens pse don't tell us what you did here, or all my CNY food are going to puke and I will see doctor for MC, I don't want to go back to work tomorrow.
My Jap friends always advise me to visit the kitchen of the restaurant before you eat there. I think that's very good advice.
Of cos, whether you get to see it is another thing. One way is to pretend you are looking for the toilet, and then gatecrash the kitchen. Then make up yr mind to eat or not.

I once had fish head curry for lunch with my M'sian host. Supposedly the best in KL. Well, it was excellent indeed.
Then had to do small biz. Went to the toilet and almost puked! The uncooked fish heads were all lying just outside the toilets and were on the floor. They didn't even bother to leave it in some containers or baskets.
The floor area was all wet. Had to jaga the slippery floor as well as the fish heads when making your way to he toilet.
I used to eat out often & never understood why I often had bouts of stomach upsets. It took a while for me to catch on that hygiene is a problem in Spore:(
With the influx of workers from the 3rd world, the standard must be even worse now Glad I eat at home more often now
