Singapore - The Administration who lost its soul

Analysts are telling us that we are going to see the biggest tax hike since the founding of our nation's history:
Singaporeans should pause and think where this country is headed under the incumbent , a political party that has lost its soul and its way, failing to create a sustainable pace of life for the locals. This is a party that strives to cling to power and seeks it at all costs with no moral compass. This establishment will do whatever it takes to promote their agenda, which caters to their income and cronies within the GLCs.

The ruling party is determined to shove down the throats of our people, enacting policies that are harmful to the majority of the locally-born and bred, through the increment of immigrants to 6.9million and eventually 10million. http://www.tnp.sg/news/singapore/ex-hdb-chief-singapore-must-still-aim-population-10-million

Known for their hunger to peg their pay to our economic size and tax revenues, analysts are hinting to us that the parliament will race to pass new tax increment with the huge 69% endorsement they have and hopefully, people will forget these pains by the next election. The proposed tax increment in 2018 will be a major triumph for them, when in fact it is nothing but a travesty. In the long run, the poor and the unemployed, particularly unskilled workers, will have to wait for handouts with little or no prospect for a dignified existence; forming one of the four pillars of support for the incumbent, along with the new immigrants, elders and the civil/uniformed service.

If the ruling, continues on their current path and keep swallowing everything in Singapore, will there be a day, that they will pay the price - and deservedly so - for selling their souls while riding on the backs of the despairing in Singapore?

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says that Washington failed to tear up the nuclear deal, which he calls a “long-lasting victory” for Tehran. Earlier, Trump vowed to pull out of the accord unless its “flaws” are fixed.
“The American administration has failed to undermine the nuclear deal… Trump, despite his repeated efforts, has failed to undermine the accord,” Rouhani said Sunday on state TV.

Iran rejects Trump’s ‘fixes’ to nuclear deal, slams new sanctions
The Iranian leader called the deal “a long-lasting victory for Iran,” following Trump’s latest attack on the accord, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). On Friday, the US president threatened to not waive economic sanctions anymore, saying that America’s European allies have one last chance to fix the “disastrous flaws” of the deal, otherwise Washington will withdraw from it. Trump’s ultimatum was followed by new sanctions against Tehran, targeting 14 individuals and several entities for alleged links to ballistic missile development and human rights abuses.

The move immediately triggered an angry reaction from Iran, with its foreign ministry refusing to accept any changes to the long-negotiated deal and stating that it will “not take any measures beyond the commitments it has made.”

Rouhani’s stance was echoed on Sunday by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who was a senior negotiator in the talks over the JCPOA. Araghchi stressed that no other state agrees with Washington’s approach, saying that Trump lost this “diplomatic battle” and is fully isolated from US allies, according to Iranian media.

The US has failed to find support among other parties of the nuclear agreement, which was signed in 2015 by the US, Britain, France, Germany, China, and Russia. On Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry lambasted the US’ ultimatum-like rhetoric and called on the international community to protect the accord. At the same time, Beijing reiterated its support for the JCPOA, praising Tehran for adhering to the agreement.

Washington has repeatedly accused Tehran of violating the deal, despite the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) saying that Iran is in full compliance.

A former adviser to Iran’s nuclear negotiation team and author of ‘Iran Nuclear Accord and the Remaking of the Middle East,’ Kaveh Afrasiabi, says that the survival of the embattled accord is actually in the national interest of the US. He also believes that Trump only makes idle threats and is not really going to overturn the accord.

“That is what he does: he keeps saying that this is my last time, but actually I wouldn’t expect for a second that he can pull out from this multilateral deal because all his partners oppose this,” Afrasiabi told RT.

Singaporeans are probably the most thoroughly brainwashed people in the world.

The only thing that makes our society better is if our people are standing up to nonsensical policies that annihilate our interests.

If we are tolerant with no limits and no exceptions, there is actually nothing which we do not accept.
Unlimited tolerance means that is as good as actually inviting the devil to our society. You have seen countless politicians smoking us all these years. The devil is in the process of destroying Singapore.

Apple is building a new campus and will hire 20,000 new employees (AAPL)

  • Apple on Wednesday announced plans to open a new campus in the United States and said it would hire 20,000 new employees over the next five years.
  • It also says it plans to pay $38 billion in repatriation tax. CNBC estimated that with the new repatriation tax rate of 15.5%, the company would bring nearly all its overseas cash, or about $245 billion, back to the United States.
Apple on Wednesday announced plans to open a new campus this year as part of an effort to hire 20,000 new workers over the next five years.

Apple declined to give more information on the location of the new campus, though it says it's building a separate new facility in Reno, Nevada.

Apple also says it will make a "direct contribution" of more than $350 billion to the US economy over the next five years through making new investments and purchasing materials from American companies. Apple estimates it will spend $55 billion this year with its more than 9,000 American suppliers and manufacturers.

Apple may bring a lot of money home

Apple invests in and purchases parts from American companies like Finisar, a laser company, and Corning, which makes the hardened glass that iPhones use, through its Advanced Manufacturing Fund, which Apple on Wednesday said had increased to $5 billion from $1 billion.

Apple accelerates US investment and job creation

$350 Billion Contribution to US Economy Over Next Five Years" style="margin-bottom: 1em;">$350 Billion Contribution to US Economy Over Next Five Years

Cupertino, California — Apple today announced a new set of investments to build on its commitment to support the American economy and its workforce, concentrated in three areas where Apple has had the greatest impact on job creation: direct employment by Apple, spending and investment with Apple's domestic suppliers and manufacturers, and fueling the fast-growing app economy which Apple created with iPhone and the App Store. Apple is already responsible for creating and supporting over 2 million jobs across the United States and expects to generate even more jobs as a result of the initiatives being announced today.

Combining new investments and Apple's current pace of spending with domestic suppliers and manufacturers — an estimated $55 billion for 2018 — Apple's direct contribution to the US economy will be more than $350 billion over the next five years, not including Apple's ongoing tax payments, the tax revenues generated from employees' wages and the sale of Apple products.

Walmart is just wayanging. Walmart is sharing peanuts with its employees as it will stand to reap tens of billions in tax savings, thanks to corrupt Trump.

Americans will find out in the next few years how Corrupt Trump transfer their wealth to the corporations and to the rich. Trump stands to gain $1 billion from the tax changes.

Actually of if he is a good President. He can contribute to his his security detail by let's say a few million a year from his estate. That will minimise the tongues wagging..but he has donated his presidential salary. So better than pinky n gang. I hope when he steps down he will announce that he won't be taking the pension.

Corrupt Trump donated $400k in salary but reaps ten of millions in earnings from accommodation charges paid to his hotel by the Secret Service. That's why Trump goes to Mar-a-lago so often. He is fleecing the federal government.
