I want to check on my friend's ic number to make sure that he is the owner of the house address.

Where can I go and check it out?

Also, how can I know if the ic number and name is the same? Where can I check this out?

I have not seen his ic yet . I am just making some enquiry first.

If this is about borrowing money- please don't do it (whether you are the lender or the borrower). And to answer your question, there's no way to check if the person's address stated in the ic is the one he is residing in. He could have moved house many years back but did not amend the information in his ic.

As to your question "how can I know if the ic number and name is the same"- I don't understand what you mean...of course ic number and name is not the same, one is a series of numbers while the other is a series of letters.

If you mean whether the ic number really belong to the said person...why don't you just ask to see the ic itself??

Firstly, I want to ask u a question. Are u truly a native born singaporean? If you are, I now understand why the PAP needs to import dumbass FTs, because u sure are a fucktard.

The IC number has no correlation to the ownership of that property. He could be renting and living there. If you are trying to ascertain the ownership of a particular property, pay your $5.25 and go to the INLIS service on the SLA website and look for the info under "Property Ownership Information". It will give you the registered owners name associated with that property. This is common knowledge. If you weren't so lazy, u would ask any real estate agent or lawyer and they will tell you.

Your second question is another dumbass question. If you are trying to find out if the IC number is assigned to the name it says on the IC, good luck. Aside from the confidentiality issue, only a few orgs. know this info. If you know someone in MHA, u can ask them. If the number is not assigned to the name, than its a fake IC, rather hard to duplicate in S'pore, and carrying a heavy penalty if you are discovered in possession of a fake IC.

There's no way you can find out if a name correponds to a particular set of IC number without actually seeing the ic itself.

If I tell you my name is Tan Ah Huat and my ic number is S7123456A, you would have no way to find out if I am telling the truth. And actually so what if they match?

It would be easier if you just tell us why you need to know all this stuff, that way the advice will be more precise and comprehensive.

any singkie that has served NS would know the various types of identity cards in use and how to decipher, check and cross-reference the information on the IDs to find out whether it is legitimate or fake copy.

Is there any way to verify if Singapore IC is valid provided I have the last 3 digits of the Singapore IC and also ending alphabet?

E.g. 123A

Is there any web site to verify such thing?

I know of this web site where we can check if the last alphabet is valid by providing the IC numbers in front..

Please help.
