It's approved by AVA for 2 reasons : these are packed in Singapore (unlike the ones sold in China and Malaysia), and they don't contain meat (ie. NTUC is only selling the vegetarian versions).

The review is done by a Singaporean or Malaysian sounding girl Emily Tan, whose states on her YouTube account that she's USA (ie. either American or currently located in USA).

The BaShu Mala HotPot that Emily is comparing the HaiDiLao HotPot against, is also available from NTUC Online :

For those of you who have tried the HaiDiLao Instant HotPot and/or BaShu Mala HotPot, What Do You Think? Worth buying or not?
