Singapore Govt, PAP and WP

The Singapore Govt comprises the Legislative, Executive and Judiciary branches. The Legislative comprises the President and Parliament, The Executive comprises the Ministers and Office Holders. The Judiciary comprises the Courts

The President, PAP MPs and WP MPs are the Legislative Branch. The PM, Ministers are the Executive Branch

The PAP and WP and PSP, etc are political Parties. SG voters vote for the MPs to form the Executive Branch.

The SG govt and the Civil Service manages the day to day running of Singapore. A policy paper is normally put up the government for Cabinet decision. I have yet to read any policy paper put up by pap. Why is Lawrence Wong and some silly forumners feel that WP has to put up alternative policy papers? Does WP have access to data and statistics like MOT, MHA, MND, Mindef, etc?

People's Association's is a statutory board under ministry of culture. PA serves the people of Singapore and ought to be impartial. PA shd be fair and treat the PAP, WP, PSP, SDP, etc fairly and equally without fear or favour.

Good point. Inbreeding all these years has sowed the seeds of inefficiency, ineffectiveness and cronyism in the Singapore system. Sadly despite having good candidates like Paul Tambyah, TCB, CSJ, Nicole Seah, etc, 61% silly singaporeans voted for inefficiency, ineffectiveness and cronyism on 10 Jul 2020. I hope 20% of these 61% will wake up at the next GE

The Singapore Govt is not pap just like SDP is not pap. The SG Govt is an entirely different entity from the pap. Singaporeans must know that difference.

For running a small little island state of 3.6m citizens requiring 91 MPs & $m paying ministers is a real big fucking joke to the rest of the world.

Every parliamentary seating for PAP for the last 50 years have been a breeze with no major opposition in the house and debating every issue they bring up.

Each mayor is paid S$660,000 per yr, equivalent to the pay of US President who gets US$400k. The pay of a singaporean cleaner is S$1200 per mth whereas the minimum wage of US workers is at least US$15 per hr. This pay disparity is a very sick but truthful joke.

My view is WP is doing a great job in Parliament. Continue to question and check the govt. WP shd not fall into pap's trap and feel obliged to put up Alternative Policy Papers. Ignore LW's taunts and some singaporeans' silly comments. Most Singaporeans support what the WP is doing and we have their backs

WP is part of the Legislative Branch and must just concentrate on formulating laws. WP is not part of the Executive Branch. Leave that to the Civil Service and the governing party of the day
