Singapore government and press like to use ‘affordable’ but why sinkies like to use ‘cheap’ why no alignment

'Affordable' is one of those nonsense meaningless words, ambiguous and ambivalent. That's the whole idea for propaganda.

It depends on the commodity in question.

If coffee or cake, I use "affordable"; if chicken, I use "cheap".
