women who have gone thru' adversity, hardships and failures, yet excel and thrive with quiet humility get my full respect. i'm sure there are many in sg, like my mom, aunties and sisters. unfortunately, the younger generation disappoints me. they don't struggle and learn thru' difficulties anymore. a little bit of hardship, and they flounder. wussy pussies. at least the maid-fed guys have to go thru' ns, and they get bullied and abused for 2 years to semi-manhood. much better than sg girls, who have zero backbone and zero guts when thrown into a foreign country with no help and no friends. they don't survive here. only the old(er) ones with not much hope for love fight their way thru' and achieve something out of little or their suitcases. in life, stay with survivors and abandon (quickly) those who show signs of defeatism and negativism at the slightest hint of trouble.
