Stupid people give their hard-earned money to foreign hippies banging a drum

STOMPer Flautist saw this Caucasian couple playing drums at Waterloo Street, with people giving them money. It makes one wonder why people are so willing to part with their money, at the mere sight of foreign hippies banging a drum and juggling some balls.
Said the STOMPer:
"These pictures were taken at the Pedestrian Mall beside Fu Lu Shou Complex at Waterloo St.
"Every Saturday the mall comes alive with lots of singers, buskers, acrobats and 'koyoh' pedlars.
"This long -haired Caucasian man and his girlfriend were spotted at the mall and their busking brought in a steady stream of donations from passersby.
"The man was furiously beating on his drum and the girlfriend was juggling with 3 balls and the crowd moved with compassion decided to throw in their 'widow's mite'.
