on 16 June 2010, heavy downpour, massive flooding down orchard road. traffics impassable for vehicles, many cars good for scrapyards, lucky plaza basement became swimming pool.
on 5 Jun 2011, 2 bouts of heavy downpour early sunday morning crippled Bt Timah & Orchard Rd businesses, Tanglin mall became scenic waterfall. St regis residents saw their flashy cars become scrap material.
coincidentally, both epic events took place round about the rice dumpling festival/ dragon boat festival.... word has it, Qu Yuan, the poet committed suicide bcos he was pissed with the oppression.
maybe its a sign from above that they're pissed with the incumbent????
