Singapore commando save all hostage in a well plan storm in

The flight steward deserves a medal. He did his job well providing SOTF with all the valuable intel.

You try falling off a plane onto the tarmac. See how you fare after the fall.
SOTF only came later. Back then just SOF under the SAF
SOTF was later when merged with SPF

Fuck the pakis they pretended Bhutto was sleeping and can’t be reached. Threw us under the bus. Luckily the so called terrorists were a bunch of amateurs
Even 4 amateurs armed with steel knives, alcohol and matches are fully capable of killing several hostages & setting the plane on fire.

the purpose of SWAT (SOF) team is to go in and defuse the situation, contain all personal, kill those armed, cable tie all, all personal in the vicinity, then wait for police to come in. Police will ID all, not SOF
The SOF did exactly what they were trained to do and did it extremely well.

Yes he was thrown from height of 5m
I guess he was the only victim who got hurt it’s a wonder the never got crippled
No, they threw out the chief steward later on. Both NSmen, so they know what a grenade or gun looks like. They should have thrown out a charbor and good luck to the SOF trying to get intel from her. But the morons did not do that.

of cos we got some keyboard warriors who claim there's a steward who notified SOF they are armed with stabbing weapons only. We cannot, and won't take his claim as guaranteed.

How the fuck would u know what the purpose of SOF was? Did they come and recruit you? Of course they did not, they don't want homosexual cock suckers in their unit like u. LOL. They interview me for 1.5 hrs. Explained the whole purpose and mission. Showed all their weapons and gear. I declined them. LOL. They are not that impressive.

They called them commandos coz SOF was supposed to be secret unit that had just been setup some years prior
Everyone in the SAF knew who these clowns were. Not so secretive. In the early days. almost all members of the SOF were Commandoes because of certain requirements like tactical swimming, were only taught to Commandoes. Later, they expanded the recruitment drive to include other units with Rangers trained guys. before I ROD, they came to my camp and ordered half a dozen officers and NCOs, those sign on or becoming sign on to report to them. Really put the hard sell on us. I turned them down because they were confused about their role, and they use money as a motivator. But in those days, they did keep a shortlist of guys with physical requirements.

If you talk to a SOF from those days, they will tell u they already know there was a high chance the hijackers were unarmed. They knew this before they assaulted. Before the assault, they identify all the weapons the hijackers were seen with. Which in this case is a big fat zero.

The real moron is you, Pap Smear. Any man, woman and child is more intelligent than you are. LOL!

Unarm combat. During training we think useless. But got use le
The one-armed swordsman stands a far better chance than the unarmed one

I attended the recruitment talk.
They came to my camp and select a group of us to attend it was near to ROD. So take up rate wasn’t high.
It entails a 2 weeks stay in physical try out. Then a 2 years training. Those with commando training have a shorter training period. After pass out it’s standby active for another 2 years I think. If I remembered correctly. In between its endless cycle of going for upgrade courses.

The talk was given by a captain who was from the navy. He got a seals badge. Apparently they recruit from the entire SAF. The one detail I remembered was that they said their army boots were actual reeboks that cost 200 bucks

Yup same thing happened to me. Always mentioned about the money. They kept boasting one of their corporals earn enough to buy a Honda Prelude. Like who the fuck would want to serve with a unit where money was the main motivator? Last thing u need is one of your colleagues decide his life is worth more then his pay and declines to breech the hijack plane. The physical tryout is no problem. They already identify those who can pass it when they call u up for the interview. The training is the real toughie. But the thing that really did not impress me other then the mentioning money was that in my time, SOF had a dual role. One was as a Hostage Rescue Unit. And the other was as a pathfinder unit during war time. like they go in first and mark the beach for assault. SAS for example has a dedicated HRU and also dedicated regiments for war time recce and surveillance. They don't make one unit cover everything like SOF. To me, just training to be HRU is a full time job. Where got time to also train as pathfinders. Scholar SAF genitals don't know shit when they set up new units.

My talk was given by an Indian Staff Sgt. He brought a few duffel bags with his kar kias and they displayed everything in there. MP5s, Sig Sauer, etc.

Back then I sometimes wondered how my life would have ended up had I signed on with them. Thot it would have been exciting. I heard they would conduct exercise of actual breaching of government restricted areas without prior warning to test the security . Like in movies. But then later I found out a peer had die during one such exercise his body caught in a propeller of a vessel. Only son and his family wasn’t even given the real circumstances of death.
