  • In short: Former senator Nick Xenophon says compensation offers recently made to injured Singapore Airlines passengers are "mean" and "miserable."
  • Injured passenger Keith Davis whose wife suffered a spinal injury said the "insulting" offer has added more distress to his wife.
  • What's next? An aviation lawyer has warned passengers to seek legal advice before accepting any offers.

These passengers are just ordinary folks they aren't worth that much.

This is "Act Of God"...The airline shouldn't be made fully liable...
From what I read, the "Fasten Seat Belt" sign was lighted up and PA announcement was made. So if you're not strapped in, whose fault should it be?
The airline shouldn't even give a single cent as compensation..

SIA still have not revealed the identity of the Captain and First Officer who are in all likelihood CECAs

Most insurance to cover "Act of God" or "Unwittingly defiance to safety warning", law experts pls help

Lol, when u let familee n those cronies rum the show its getting worse, rewarding themselves they ate generous n self declare but problems cones I they fuck u ,lol

If familee in that fight n their fang in there ,they sure co.pensate them selves generously

The PR department of SIA needs to be immediately fired.

PAP-linked GLCs can't shake off their stingy habits, and this is one time when being a penny pincher does serious damage to the company's reputation. Especially in this kind of industry.

Whatever, I'm never a SIA customer unless someone is sponsoring me. There are better choices for shorter or longer flights. Your SIA girls are getting uglier with every passing year anyway, so that eye candy factor is non-existent now.

No wonder lky said with 50 yrs no more pap ,I believe him cos he can forsee all these, fuck them Don spent few hundreds mullions for memorial things later on will be demolished, fuck them ccb

Go settle in court then. Drag out the lawsuit drama. See what happens.

And they're going to 'commemorate' the legacy of him and his Useless Son with the upcoming Founder's Memorial. The cringe and the hubris is astounding. :roflmao:

Can you believe the sheer audacity of Singapore Airlines?

They handed out EIGHT MONTHS bonuses to every staff. Even if the average clown earns $5,000 per month, that’s like $40,000! Much more than the compensation of the injured passengers.

Perhaps all have been fired for being incompetent to handle emergency situations? lol!

SIA should be ashamed of themselves.

- Paying obscene 8 months bonuses to staff
- NOT returning the public funds used to support them during Covid
- Screwing over the injured passengers with a joke of a compensation

"For passengers who sustained minor injuries from the incident, we have offered US$10,000 [$15,150] in compensation," the airline said in a statement.
"Passengers medically assessed as having sustained serious injuries, requiring long-term medical care, and requesting financial assistance are offered an advance payment of US$25,000 to address their immediate needs," it wrote.
