Serious Singapore’s worrying trend of homeowners defaulting on mortgages

You want oversupply, go to jb. They just announced in budget lowering minimum price foreigners can buy homes from RM1 million ( raised by najib from RM500k in 2014) to RM600k to try reduce overhang.

Japan's lost decade was forced upon them by reagan. They had 6 day week with sunday a golf day with the bosses. Reagan forced them to take 5 day week, strengthen their yen to double its value overnight. Second hand cars in south east asia suddenly cost more than the price it was bought, causing a bubble in south east asia that ended in 1997 financial crisis.

Amid a rise in mortgagee sales and a slowing economy, private homes continue to be built, prompting analysts to warn of an oversupply.

Barely 160 homeowners default and the oppies are trying to spark a panic stampede. Are oppies aware that there are tens of thousands of sinkie HDB flat owners who have faithfully serviced their mortgages and even paid them off fully?

Oppies should stop resorting to scare mongering tactics just to destabilize Singapore for oppie losers to win freak elections.

the article was from scmp, HK. they are the ones who want to stir shit. i am merely posting it out to see how many forummers are envious of property investors.

after pm lee retire, i will switch side, already on transition to support the oppo. he is very soon to retire.

Why support the oppies? The court has determined that the key oppies have been dishonest in their running of the town council. Why would you want to support dishonest leaders?

ah john, i actually think this is the beginning of mudslinging with the election coming soon. all good timing.

The judiciary here is above politics. Most sinkies do not doubt the integrity of our judges. It's unlike in the the US, where judges identify with partisan politics.
