Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong says Singapore might have another PM Lee, but he doesn’t think “it goes in the family”.

Lee, who has been Singapore’s prime minister since 2004 and is the eldest son of the city-state’s first prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew, was asked in an interview whether Singapore could see a third PM Lee.

“It could be. There are many Lees in the world. I think we are the most common surname among the Chinese. But I don't think that it goes in the family,” he replied to Hu Shuli, the editor-in-chief of Caixin Media, a Chinese news publisher.

In the interview uploaded on Caixin.com on Monday afternoon, Lee also talked about his vision for Singapore’s economic growth, and about finding the balance between driving competitiveness and caring for the needy in Singapore.

When the time comes and his son becomes PM, he just say I don't know abt it.
I was kept in the dark.
The others were gromming him behind my back.

Indeed, Lee Hsien Loong, whose Chinese name means "emergent dragon", was groomed as early as 1984 for a career in politics, not by the senior Lee, but by Goh Chok Tong.

It was Goh, then a deputy prime minister, who first encouraged Lee Hsien Loong to join public office, a move initially resisted by Lee Kuan Yew for fear of raising concerns about the practice of nepotism in his administration.

yeah. like how asslong was being 'groomed' by woody goh and was initially objected by oldfart. the next lee will be 'groomed' by some senior pap member and too ass ong will object but will finally relent for the good of Singapore. vomit.
