A lump of extremely rare WHALE VOMIT has been sold for £11,000 at auction.
The chunk of ambergris - a waxy rock-like substance that can prolong the scent of perfume - was found washed-up on the shore at Anglesey, north Wales, earlier this year.
The bizarre item sold to a phone bidder in France today smashing price estimates of up to £7,000 .

Auctioneer Adam Partridge said he was "elated" at the sale, in Macclesfield.
