Singapore Airlines hiring Indians

Singapore Airlines is hiring cabin crew of Indian origin. It plans to have at least 2-3 Indians on each flight flying from or to India.

“Yes we are hiring cabin crew and staff with Indian origin. All I can say at this point of time is that the idea is to have at least two to three Indian cabin crew,” CW Foo, Singapore Airlines general manager for India, told Financial Chronicle.

Also, the airline has inducted chef Sanjiv Kapur in its international culinary panel of 10 chefs for more detailing and refinement of Indian cuisine it serves on its flights. The panel advises TajSATS Air Catering which takes care of the airline’s inflight catering.

“We are refining the inflight Indian cuisine further with more detailing and authenticity. These are very important factors,” said Foo.

Singapore Airlines is also keen on more landing rights in the country.

It plans to replace its fleet of Boeing 777s with A330s globally. However, it will continue to fly Boeing 777-200s on some routes in India.

Think the problem with Indian bound flights are:

1)Majority of them speak different langauges although most of them speak English(heck they even need to speak English to communicate with their own pple), but if they don't speak the language chances are they are likely to know Hindi compared to other Indian languages. SG Indians learn Tamil, in which case I doubt locals understand Indian English anyway

2)A lot of India Indians are very demanding. When I say demanding I mean ridiculous expectations, when they are unhappy, they will literally shout at you like you're a piece of crap. It's very common to see customers shouting and scolding Waiters at Restaurants in India. Most pple outside India probably cant take that kinda shit.
