SIA plane’s right wing tip scrapes tail of another aircraft in Beijing airport
SINGAPORE : The right wing tip of a Singapore Airlines plane scraped the tail of another aircraft while taxiing out to the runway for departure at Beijing’s international airport.
A Singapore Airlines spokesperson said the aircraft returned to the gate on Saturday and an assessment is being carried out.
The flight from Beijing to Singapore has been cancelled.
The SIA spokesperson added that the 248 passengers are being provided with hotel accommodation in Beijing.
The airport was shrouded in fog at the time of the incident, said China’s state media. — CNA /ls
