This has been happening for several years now. SIA was recruiting pilots from India years ago, but before they actually start flying for SQ, they are in Singapore for SIM training and instruction. Apparently, they are quite good pilots and it appears SQ is trying to recruit the cream of Indian pilots. Not hard to do when you have a good reputation like SQ.
