Shoplifters turn violent when caught

The culprits in two different incidents of shoplifting turned violent when their alleged deed was exposed.
At The Centrepoint's Cold Storage supermarket on Monday night, a topless man, who was suspected of shoplifting, starting throwing food stuff and other items at the in-house security officer.
He even picked up a laptop-sized piece of glass and chased after the security officer.
Last Friday, a 16-year-old girl was arrested after she allegedly tried to steal a $40 handbag from a Far East Plaza boutique.
When the owner gave chase, she claimed the girl pushed her away and even bit her on the arm.
