A fucking chee bye.

Muslim hawkers are the biggest scammers as they charge $$$ for poor quality dishes using cheap ingredients. Their trick is lots of spices, salt and sugar. She is saying Newton HC is a Scam HC.
I only order food and drinks from Newton after double confirming the price.dun c whatz ze fuss. i go newton hc sumtimes when craving 4 pengkang fish n lemon cheekon. u go in wif ur eyes open n price iz still reasonable.
Are her favourite dishes at Newton Hawker Centre clams or blood cockles aka "see hum"?Face like a chee bye. Talk like a chee bye. She is a chee bye.

The BBQ seafood and zhi char stalls are the main culprits, but the prices of most stalls are noticeably higher than at most other hawker centres. Your example is very much an outlier. My usual duck rice stall at Ghim Moh charges $5.80 for a medium sized portion, but a similar size duck rice goes for $8 at Newton.1 bottle of asahi @ newton iz $10, same price sold in geylang kopitiams. seriously dun know y ppl say newton iz a tourist trap.
