You cannot really blame the whole PRC Chinese for wanting to destroy 5000 years of Chinese history...The Cultural Revolution was launched by a 70 year old man (in 1966) who desperately wanted to hold on to power by using the excuse that revolution need to be continuous and the old Chinese systems need to be destroyed and be replaced by Maoism.

In any case, just within a year when the misguided young Red Guards went into excess, Mao immediately put a stop to their activities and send them down to the farms to be 're-educated' by the peasants'. However, why the Cultural Revolution lasted 10 more years and created the subsequent untold damages was because he had created a monster by allowing the Gang of Four to prosecute and destroy his political opponents, rob the country and impeded the progress of China for 10 whole years. The blame should squrely be placed on the old man, not the Chinese people as a whole.

The PRC Chinese leadership and people now have a healthy aversion to anything that hinted at 'Cultural Revolution'. Witness how an upstart and bloody criminal, corrupted Bo Xilai was brought down without mercy as he tried to revive the old Maoism and launch another 'Cultural Revolution'. Purpose? So that he could get on the Political Bureau Standing Commitee as a first step and eventually work his way towards the PRC number one position. Luckily more rational minds in the Chinese leadership prevailed and put a stop to the Bo attempts. Many distractors of China from the West would really love to see China in another political power mess and thus slow down or destroy the last 30 years' progress since the end of the Culural Revolution.

The rise of China is inevitable given its size, resources and huge population. With the West and even the USA in decline, where then would the impetus for global progress and economic success come from? Ah Neh or other BRICS? What would you prefer? Or do you want a China in bloody mess and as a people being equated with dogs, remember "Dogs and Chinese not allowed"? You know the odd thing is that some chinese here would rather be chinese dogs and bring down the entire chinese race with them to become dogs of other races. It's usually the descendants of a particular racial/ethnic group who are against further immigration from where their ancestors came from. This forum speaks for itself as most Sinkie Chinese are against Ah Tiongs migrating & working in Sinkieland.

The port of entry at Honolulu International Airport is the strictest and most difficult for Asians to enter the USA as plenty of the immigration officers are Japanese Americans and they like to give Asians a hard time trying to enter America. Airports in the West coasts with high Asian population like LAX International and San Francisco International are also strict with Asians entering the USA. The easiest to enter are airports in the Midwest like Chicago O'Hare and Detroit Metro Airport where most of the immigration officers are Ang Mohs.

I am not a historian or an expert in China affairs, just from some normal reading here and there. If you go and read books on China's recent history (from pre WWII to present), especially of topics such as Mao, Zhao Ziyang, The Rise of China, CCCP, etc you will note one common thread - Mao is no supermo nor numero uno all the while. During the war years, before he assumed the post of General Secretary, CCCP, before, during and after the Long March, he was at one stage sidelined by other CCCP leaders. The same trend was repeated after China achieved Republic status after October 1949 - that is why Mao went on to launch campaign after campaign such as anti capitalist, anti rightist, Let a Hundred Flowers Bloom and Let a Hundred Schools of Though Content, Great Leap Forward, etc and eventually the Cultural Revolution. In each and every campaign, some political opponents were removed, such as Zhu De, Peng Te Huai, Teng Hsiao Ping, and even eventually Lin Biao, the chosen Mao successor, who greatly helped Mao in launching the Cultural Revolution.

In the early 60s, the Chinese economy was doing so so after the previous disastrous campaigns. At 70, much of the daily running of the state affairs were under the care of Teng Hsiao Ping and Zhou Enlai. Mao viewed the lessening of refferals and consultations of state affairs by these CCCP leaders as evidence and a threat to his personal power. He had to personally leave Beijing itself and went off to southern China to make use of Lin Biao, the Gang of Four and misguided Red Guards to launch the Cultural Revolution, which in theory he said was because the Chinese people are forgetting about real and continous communist Revolution and sliding back to the old economic and political practices of capitalism. In reality, he is targetting his political opponents and bring them down one by one. Teng was sent off to the farms to do hard labour and Zhou Enlai managed to survived only because Mao still need a loyalist and compliant person like Zhou who had faithfully supported him in his struggles against other CCCP opponents and eventually against Lin Biao.

My purpose is not to start a debate on the details or specifics of CCCP history, Mao or China history. Leave this to the experts and scholars. My purpose is to point out that when we drink water,we need to think of where the source of water came from. To each his or her own - some people like to trace back or value their own race, some chose to degnigrate it, or somewhere in between. I am also not here to flame anyone or start a debate.

Actually it's country politicians and media brainwashing their citizen to hate another nationality . The same happen to Malaysia and Singapore ..almost same culture , eat the same food ...ect yet Singaporean and Malaysian don't like one another . I think usually next door country usually hated each other because of their leader brainwashing them . jap immigration officers are fascists ..as long u dress well .. They don't bother u .
