"Mike Tan
Dear Minister, we are eagerly awaiting your comments on the AG Report. We would be expecting the CPIB to be to be investigating a number of these lapses that appear more than simply overspending or oversight. An example is the $410k spent on consultation to construct a bin house costing only $470k. There are of course many other lapses that would probably take you a good few months to go through point by point and explain to the public. As for AHTC, we are finding it a bit stale and miniscue in comparison to these lapses in the govt ministries, you may want to prioritise your time on these new revelations.

Thank you."

This response from Respect Singapore is spot on.

I've got nothing to say about the new Auditor-General's report on lapses in governance at various government ministries and statutory boards. Because I've said it before. Many times.
We perpetuate a one-party state where the lines between ruling party, civil service and public sector are blurred, with no effective check and balance against inevitable human failings both inadvertent and deliberate, to our peril. However we pretend otherwise and regardless of the touted merits of such system. And our country will find out to its cost. Not today or tomorrow. But one day.

While they are at it, can they also check and report state of affairs of Tamasick? Especially if the amount of renumerations of their executives commensurate with their performance and if people were hired competent in they respective roles.

Afterall, if it is true that they are betting using cpf funds, whichever way it landed in their coffers or whatever they called it, the state of affair impact the people's fund.

Shamu will tender his resignation if all of u keep pressuring him for answers, with his wealths he cud live a Prince life in India and build a little Taj Mahal wit his Begum.

Because Temasek is an investment fund, there is very little the auditors can do. Investment decisions are typically compared to indices that are close to a portfolio. Their admin cost and how they handle the admin, hirings are all relatively small.

That is why transparency to the public is so essential for investment fund. Norway is a good example. Remuneration paid to executives are seldom question by auditors unless it has no basis. Again transparency. Canadian public pension funds reveals the remuneration of executives.

Alamak what talking u? The AGC is the ownself check ownself check and balance. Where is the WP in all these? Clearly they are not needed at all.

So what if Teamasick decided to be transparent and revealed that Ho Jinx earned about 45,000,000 USD annually? Her husband, Chief Natural Aristocrat, would spin some tales and 69.9% of Sinkies would still buy into them (the tales).

aris2cats glass hauses r bulletproof n shatterprrof ... n tinted so u cant c watz happening inside (non-transparent) ...

Radio Silence from Shanmugam. The same thing happened when he began his verbal assault on WP on the revelation of Yaw's Affair. When his own affair came to light, he went into radio silence for months.

Did he not try to take legal action against an individual who wrote about his affair(s)?

The cabinet had a rule. All cabinet members must sue for defamation if anything published or said is false. Shanmugam had no choice. So he opened and closed the matter with one letter from his lawyers. In essence he said he wants to sue but the individual cannot be found - all in one letter. He thereby met the cabinet requirement. By the way, it is still in force.
