"The allegations, if true, are deeply disturbing and disappointing. Everytime you get this, you need to deal with it decisively and firmly...inevitably (because of) human nature, you will have people who succumb to temptation...whether in the Civil Service, banks, law firms (or) institutions. Despite having best controls...somebody will try to beat it.What we need to do is always to be vigilant...and to make sure that these are exceptions and they don't become the norm."

Different people have different threshold.
Some have very high temptation to get into the offices.

It is precisely because of this that we MUST have opposing parties to watch over the other parties to ensure no monkey business! Same with politicians. If there is no oppositions and with only one party system, power corrupts and absolute power corrupt absolutely.

It's inevitable human nature people will succumb to temptation, so we must pay them millions to try make them go against the laws of nature, and eventually they still do it. - PAP Logic

Comparing to Myanmar and most other countries in SEA, Singapore is already very clean in terms of corruption. Why are you guys complaining about. The only way to rid corruption is to have a government like the PAP, without which you guys and gals will end up paying bribes every other day!

Singapore is a developed country, why you want compare with Myanmar? Under the British were our citizens paying bribes other everyday? So you mean the day opposition take over, our whole government close shop and run road together with PAP? If not, how will people pay bribes. Still got government what.

Well said. He has earned my utmost respect.

Well said my foot. His statement is based on the assumption that CPIB has the best controls. What best controls is he talking about when it took a whistle blower to expose what has been happening right under the PAP's nose after more 5 years.

As I had always advice Leongsam, don't blindly rush into defending your PAP political masters. Read carefully what these PAP clowns and think over before trying to come to their rescue. You want to carry balls also must be smart about it lah. But then again, how can we expect PAP ball carriers to be smart, if they were, they wouldn't be looking up to the helpless and useless bunch of PAP idiots.
