M’sia and India to cooperate on cyber warfare, poverty eradication

Malaysia and India are committed to working together in the fields of technology, the fight against cyberwarfare, terrorism and poverty eradication, says Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

The deputy prime minister noted that both countries also agreed on the setting up of a taskforce to look at these issues, following her 30-minute meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who made a brief stop in Malaysia yesterday.

“I think the task force is a good idea. We are facing regional threats such as cyberwarfare and terrorism that undermine our country’s security.

“I think the way forward is to work together to beef up our artificial intelligence and defence systems,” she said in a statement tonight.

During the meeting at the Bunga Raya Complex in KLIA, Wan Azizah was accompanied by her husband and de facto PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim.

Meanwhile, Modi, as quoted in the statement, said the task force would, among others, be responsible to come up with areas in which both countries could work together and chalk out programmes with set targets and deadlines.

He also pointed out that terrorists today were well connected with their own support systems and global networks, perhaps with better connectivity compared to ordinary people, making them the biggest threat to humanity.

Modi also praised Wan Azizah for her courage in the struggle to topple the previous government.

“There would be very few people in the world who could have shouldered the responsibility the way you have and your name and contribution will be enshrined in the history of this country,” he said.

“You have no interest in politics, and yet you took it upon yourself as a sense of duty and you have done it very well, I think it is great,” he added.

Modi, who is on a visit to the Southeast Asia region, made a brief stopover to Malaysia to personally extend his best wishes and congratulations to Dr Mahathir Mohamad for the Pakatan Harapan’s victory in the 14th general election and his appointment as the seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia.

This is the first meeting between the two leaders. Modi's last visit to Malaysia was on Nov 23, 2015.

This is the first meeting between the two leaders. Modi last visited Malaysia on Nov 23, 2015.

The Indian Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and her husband Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the de facto leader of Pakatan Harapan.

Wisma Putra said in a statement on Tuesday that the meeting between the leaders of the two countries underlined the fundamental strength of the millennia-old relations between Malaysia and India.

It said the visit also demonstrated the strong commitment of the two countries to further strengthen their strategic partnership.

Malaysia and India enjoy close relations through cultural and historical linkages, as well as in various areas, particularly infrastructure development, education, tourism and defence.

India is Malaysia’s largest trading partner in South Asia, with total trade amounting to RM61.43 billion in 2017.

Malaysia should allow indian navy ships to use its ports. That will scare the tiongs.

China is not afraid of any navy in this world any more.

They can sink ANY navy surface ship from home ANYWHERE on the globe now. DF-ZF hypersonic warhead on the DF-31 latest version ICBM, and targets are all tracked live position via Spy satellites.

This is able to sink any ship launching directly from their home bases, or anywhere the TEL truck and travel and stop and up-right the ICBM and fire. The satellites will acquire target position and track movement, and update the DF-ZF hypersonic glider warhead of it's final position just before it dive down from space. Depending on the distance it may be MAX 20+ mins from launching to the dive down, and the targets will move Max 3 dozen kms during the flight time of DF-ZF, so newly updated target position need to be tracked live, and updated into warhead guidance computer, via satellite data link.

This is of course the expensive way to sink ships, it is the luxury CHINESE UNIQUE Technology that Russia & USA don't have.

The conventional way PLA got YJ-18 the most perfected and long ranged anti-ship missile to sink ships. It can carry a tactical nuke warhead if needed. It's characteristic combined ALL THE BEST possible properties of an anti-ship missile like a dream.

It is tailored to kill the US Navy's strongest carriers and Aegis Shielded missile defended warships and navy battle group. It is un-interceptable because it's Speed is MACH3.5 faster than close-in defend super-fast firing rate guns. It has perfect trajectory and range of 500km. Longer range than US missiles, meaning PLA planes and ships are able to kill from a safe distance where US missile can not hit PLA. Trajectory can go sea skimming low, to avoid radar detection, and jumping up to a suitable height to turn on missile' on board radar to track targets' new position, and then dive down low again, turning off own radar, to sneak approach closer, and up and down, flying at MACH0.8 with fuel economical turbojet engine, and wings, to have longest range. When it reached the Final Kill Range, it will discard it's own turbo jet engine and fuel tank & wings, after it goes up to use radar for the final target position fixing. It become a tiny (hard to detect and intercept) MACH3.5 hypersonic ram jet engine to dash to the final kill.

This missile is about 8m length and over 2 tons. Launched from warships vertically, or launched from warplanes, or submarines, there is also a truck launched version for shoreline defense. Target positions are tracked by satellites, drones, and AWACs.
