Two teenage girls arrested for motor theft

Two female youths have been arrested for stealing a motorcycle.

The two girls, aged 17 and 19 were caught riding the motorcycle along Upper Thomson Road on June 16.

The owner had reported the loss of his motorcycle on June 15, in Yishun.

The next day, a police officer who was on his way to work, spotted the suspects travelling on the stolen motorcycle on Upper Thomson Road.

Investigations are currently ongoing and the suspects face jail time of up to seven years and fine if they are found guilty.
