Circuit Road murder: 47-year-old man to be charged following arrest in Malaysia

SINGAPORE: A 47-year-old man will face charges in Singapore following his arrest in Malaysia for the murder of a 28-year-old woman, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said.

The woman was found dead in her third-storey flat at Block 70 Circuit Road on Mar 22. Her body was found on a bed, according to a TODAY report.

The suspect was arrested by Malaysian police on Monday after Singapore issued a warrant of arrest against him. He was handed over to Singapore authorities on Tuesday evening, and will be charged in court on Thursday with murder, SPF said.

If convicted, he faces the death sentence.

Criminal Investigation Department Director Tan Chye Hee said: “Once again, I would like to convey my appreciation to the Royal Malaysia Police for their strong and unequivocal support for this case that resulted in the arrest of the murder suspect in Malaysia.

“The Singapore Police Force will continue to work with our foreign law enforcement partners, and ensure that criminals who commit crimes in Singapore and flee our borders thereafter will be brought back to justice,” he added.

They had a lot of help from the Malaysian polis. :D

It's easy to id the culprit but not so easy to find him in mudland. Chances are he let his guard down. Like the one eye dragon ya ya go book 5 star hotel in KL.

Idiots on the run never learn that Royal Malaysian Polis and Singapore Police had been working hand in glove since British times.... they even share their "WANTED" persons database as a matter of procedure.......
