The PAP should just stick to the Two-State Solution, promulgated in the 1982 Arab Summit where an independent Palestine (West Bank, Gaza, East Jerusalem) exists side by side with Israel, according to 1967 borders.

Camp David under Clinton sought to address this 2-state solution (but failed), the Europeans and most of the Arab world also support it, but it's the Israelis who keep sabotaging it by pushing back the borders, making land grabs, and making impossible demands. China has recognised the State of Palestine since 1988.

Stick to the 2-state solution, and we'll be in line with the rest of the civilised world, without betraying our good relations with Israel. Of course, the reality is that the US is the only country that can resolve the issue, but ironically the US admin is hamstrung by the strong Zionist lobby which funds the election campaigns of both the Republicans and Democrats
