[Sg] - Malay couple eat at Vivo City Chinese restaurant, kena forced to speak Mandarin as both the order chit and waiter no English

The waitress must have got the slit of qipao really high for the Malay guy to be eating there.

Don't forget Scarlett, swarms of Tiongs there, the shoppers, the cooks and the cashiers. And everyone assumes everyone else is a Tiong.

U go to chinese restaurant , u speak chinese.What do u expect ?555

Recently, I was at FairPrice trying to find a few items. I asked one of the ATB auntie staff for help, but she just looked at me with a blank expression. She then told me to speak Mandarin instead. The way she said it made me feel as though I was obligated to speak her preferred language rather than being helped in one we could both understand.
