You forget that not just Malaysia, but also Singapore was originally Malay land. When Stamford Raffles came here in 1819, there were only Malays here. Singapura was founded by a Palembang prince in the 13th century.

No denyning that the Chinese (and the Indians and the British colonizers) helped bring Singapore to where it is today - economically - but don't forget that the Chinese are not the natives.
