SG Indian: Indian expats use Hindi in corporate meetings

There will come a day when Hindi displaces Tamil as one of the four official languages of Singapore.

Its not suprising....Hindi is the national and official language of India.....just like Mandarin in China...

Tamil is only spoken as a dialect in Tamil Nadu and a minority of Sri Lankan....

It is an official language in SINgapore, the Northern P@#@! must learn to speak Tamil...and better still Malay, for their Southern Brethren, now don't even know how to speak Tamil, but Malay!

yeah thats weird...probably in the past...officials randomly picked Tamil as most migrants spoke that dialect....compared to the chinese...where there's teochew, hochew, Minan, mandarin and etc...

From skulls and skeletons you will find southern pundeks are classified in the others classifications as Dravidians, which is distinctive from general classifications which include Caucasoid, Negroid and Mongoloid, the latter which Chinese, Malays, American Indians belongs.

So its not from skin colors, curry smells, bodily features that give us clues who is a pundek and who is not. But mostly it is from their mendacious inclination. At the hospital clinic today I saw a Muslim pundek being pushed by his much younger wife in a wheelchair. Later at the pharmacy the pundek miraculously got himself healed and walking about.

zeddy,

Their dark skins are a giveaway that they are southerners, as northern Indians are fair skinned. Hindi is the national language of India, so both the dark skinned or fair skinned Indians can speak it.

I know Indians who are local Tamil in origin, doesn't even know how to speak a word of TAMIL, they speak to their grandmother in MALAY..and grandmother orginated from India have to learn Malay to speak to their grandchildren in MALAY, but speak Tamil to her own children.

Dravadian is a rather curious classification. Some ppl would try and say they are under caucasian but i doubt so. If look at a real unmixed southern one as most indians are actually mixed and not pure you would see they have very dark skin, curly/frizzy/wavy hair especially those not mixed, the less mixed and pure dravid they are the more frizzy their hair is and the sclera or their eye whites are yellowish rather than white or light blue. Their nose isn't as sharp as the northern ones and more puggish. In fact you would say they look like african people but that's only very superficial and only on the physical aspect namely the skin color. They also have that mean animalistic look. That's the stereotype that locals have on indians looking angry cos of them. If you pay attention to the dravids especially those that aren't mixed they have that angry animal look on their face.

Actually if you pay attention to the aboriginals in OZ you will find they actually look like these dravids. They have all the features mentioned above. It's also established that the abos came to OZ via south india. They are also genetically very distant from africans even though both have dark skin. Their facial features look very different too. The abos are what pure dravids look like with 0 mixture from the caucasian type indians cos remember indians have been interbreeding for thousands of yrs but if you observe those from the untouchable castes especially you can see how much like the arbos they resemble.

A lot of Indian co's in High street etc., are actually founded by and mostly staff by two main racial / language groups - Punjabi and Sindi. These Sindis are actually from Pakistan but migrated to India/oversea during partition of India. Punjabi in SG are mostly Sikh but you will find Hindu Punjabi with exact same family name (such as Bajaj) minus the beard. To add to the confusion, some Sikh do shave beard, so just by family name or looks it is hard to tell.

There is no northern monopoly on ligher skin as you will find contrary examples everywhere. That is why Churchill said of India - whatever you say of them, the opposite is also true..

Using lanugage not understood by some in a gathering, in a deliberate manner, is rude and shows bad upbringing. Unfortunately many do it, without realising how rude it is.

I really want to see some ppl use that on those indians instead of going targetting you know china ppl for eg.

when u say china ppl you mean PRC?

In the case of the northern one, I guess fault is higher because they can perfectly well speak English. Unlike some uneducated bangala or prc who can only speak one language.
