It is most unfortunate that we have to make a scene before businesses make things right for us. I was sent my new ATM card in the mail, but it could not be activated via SMS nor by online banking despite following the instructions provided. The call centre operators were unable to assist, and one even suggested that I am not the lawful owner of that card! It wasn't until I raised my voice and showed my displeasure that the bank acknowledged that there was something wrong originating from their end. I had to make a trip to the bank to have that ATM card activated in the end, but at least the bank didn't brush me off like they did earlier after I "banged the table".
