STOMPer Diana's friend was slashed with a knife and attacked with beer glasses by a group of about five women at a pub in Yishun.
According to Diana, the attack occurred after one of the women approached the victim asking her if she was from a gang and then telling her she looked 'cocky'.
Said the STOMPer:
"My female friend in her mid 20s went to Ginza pub in Yishun along Sembawang Road with two male friends to chill out on Nov 10.
"While she was smoking alone outside, she was approached by a woman saying that they had been aiming her for quite a while.
"The woman told my friend that she did not like my friend's face and that she looked 'cocky' in Hokkien.
"The woman asked my friend if she belonged to a gang but my friend said no.
"My friend walked back to the pub to find her friends, but in less than a minute, about five women and one man, including the woman who approached my friend, came in armed with a knife and beer glasses and attacked her.
"Her guy friends tried to block her but was attacked too, but suffered only minor injuries.
"The management of the pub did nothing to mediate the situation until the police and the ambulance came.
"My friend was sent to A&E at Khoo Teck Hospital in an ambulance.
"She suffered head injuries and several external injuries on her face and body.
"Her arm had 12 stitches. The attackers are believed to be the regular of the pub aged between the late 20s to early 30s.
"Has Singapore's security gone to a new low?"
