据《8视界新闻网》从诊所的服务员Sujeewa了解，袁泉芳很可能从病人身上感染冠病。自从他被确诊后，诊所从上个星期一（4日）起就关闭至今，诊所的员工们在隔离中。
麦波申区议员陈佩玲今天（11日）在社交媒体Facebook发文，得知这名有爱心的医生去世深感悲痛，不少网民留言表达哀悼。
陈佩玲写道，从麦波申居民得知他是一名非常友善和非常关心病人情况的医生。一些病人甚至还成为他的朋友。
帖文也表示，也许因为他是该区居民，并看到了麦波申社区有不少年长者和弱势群体，因此他把医疗费用保持较低的价格，以便鼓励弱势居民在需要时寻求医疗服务。 “我们许多人都被他对社区的仁慈所感动。
