sf on lockdown

You should be fine then. It's all for yourself, not expecting guests I am sure!

And that reminds me, I have yet to make limoncello. Will get some lemon tomorrow. But will not use sugar.
be careful when you zest lemons not to peel the "white" part of the lemon skin. otherwise your limoncello will becum bitter.

I am likely to croak prematurely because most of my family have the top four or have succumbed to one or two of the top four (at the same time!).

I did a lot of reading up over the last couple of days and in the absence of data of non covid respiratory deaths vs covid-19 deaths this page has become my point of reference.

I would like to know what happened that caused those past peaks that show way more deaths than the mean for the over 65s.

Yes, just the zest.

BTW, have you tried making toddy? 100% coconut water (can buy in a carton), add yeast, water and sugar. Cover it and leave in the dark for 24/48 hours. Tastes very nice chilled and a refreshing drink.

Ignore the shitskin music

Quite a complex looking graph. Those countries are all in the northern hemisphere. Seasonal flu?

It looks complex but it is actually quite basic. We are looking at standard deviations from the mean and by this method we can tell whether a spike in mortality is within normal statistical variations or whether it is something out of the ordinary.

The website seems to be for "euro" countries only but since the coronavirus panic is centered around countries like Italy and Spain it does zoom in on a purportedly out of control part of the world.

If, at the end of this rubbish, the death toll is within statistical variations it simply means that the majority of the 65+ died WITH the coronavirus rather than solely because of the virus.

OK that makes sense. You want a complete picture by looking at data regarding causal factors of deaths. As for me, being of below average intelligence with limited bandwidth, I only zoom in on covid-19 deaths! Hence https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

That site actually shows you other data as well. Looks like you have a lot of bandwidth for many things! Kudos to you.
