Iskandar will have no problems giving work permits to foreigners. They have millions of banglas and indons there already, some been living for many years without permits.
If foreign firms move out, it is the Malaysians who will feel the greatest impact. See for yourself . just hang around the causeway & you will see truckloads of Malaysian workers coming into Spore on a daily basis to work.
Many of my colleagues at an MNC were Malaysians e.g. the GM of sales. There are also many angmos from Australia, England, US,... but I wouldn't worry too much about them because they have their own network to help them find a new job in Spore
To TS.....how do you feel when you and yr family go go clarke quay on weekend and see foreigners behaving rowdy and unruly, obviously no respect for the people around them...u better wake up...this is our country not theirs...they can pack up n leave but please bring their people along with them if they can't at all behave
What a fucking asshole PAP is.
Instead of tightening the inflow of FT's dependents..wife, father, mother, children and in-laws they strangle the goose.
Those are the unproductive trash that litter the whole island.
they are not assembling parts in factory or crunching numbers in data centre but they contribute to consumption so part of the salary of the cheaperest foreigners is spent within singapore, paid to singaporean landlords, singaporean char kway teow stall owners, school bus drivers, etc, etc, etc.
i suggest tighten or loosen quota based on industry. .... ... engineering, it, banking, high value jobs tighten... .... cleaning, f&b, construction low value jobs loosen
