Serial thief caught at Kallang MRT

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 30-year-old man believed to be involved in a series of theft committed on MRT trains.
On Dec 26, around 11:30am, officers mounted an operation and arrested the Chinese suspect who was found to be behaving suspiciously.
They caught him as he was alighting from a train at Kallang MRT station.
After a search, officers found a wallet, two credit cards and some personal identification documents belonging to a Chinese woman in his possession.
Investigations revealed that the female owner of the wallet was a passenger that same morning around 7.45am.
She discovered her wallet was missing after reaching her destination at Marina Bay Financial Centre.
The suspect is believed to be involved in at least 5 other cases.
If convicted for the offence of theft, he faces a jail term of up to three years, a fine, or both.
