Sentosa monorail infected by SMRT breakdown disease

A virulent strain of virus that causes train systems to shut down for no reason is suspected to be spreading from SMRT and SBS Transit’s fleet of MRT trains to Sentosa’s monorail.

This suspicion arose after Sentosa’s monorail reportedly broke down on Friday evening out of the blue, with its break down appearing in the wake of a spate of multiple MRT breakdowns in recent years.

Train Infections Treatment Specialists (TITS) — experts studying viruses transmitting between trains as a result of promiscuous activity — said this latest development is worrying as it shows a cross-species contamination.

A TITS spokesperson, Ai Zhi Ping, said his team of experts have been looking into the situation and are advising the public not to panic as this will only cause share prices to drop: “MRT trains are one species and Sentosa monorail is another type of species. So this shows that the disease has spread from one species to another. ”

“The spread of the virus across species is reminiscent of the AIDS virus, where it spread from monkeys to humans.”
