today my fren cycling towards compassone and along the way group of security man employed by sengkang blocking the pathway as if its their own turf, real ji bye lang. fren then ring bell and one of them said cycle so fast for what, then this security man should ask his parents why they fuck so fast to give birth to be a guard for what? hahahah on the way back fren met a man and woman security guard again from sengkang hospital, real ji bye again, fren ring bell and they siam but the woman guard said in mandarin i most dislike bicycle like that, but this woman guard, please lah go read news and its the government law that was passed this year that give cyclists the right to cycle along pedestrain path as long as cyclist ring bell to avoid accident thats correct thing, and this woman guard shoud most dislike and hate her parents for fucking so hard to give birth to her to be a guard for what? hahah. ultimately all the security from sengkang hospital must know they are here as servants to serve the residents in sengkang, the residents are the king and they have to obey the rules here, if people happy call them security guard but if not they are only a dog that cant bite nor bark looking after the metal gate only

This law to allow cycling on pedestrian walkways is one of the worst laws ever passed in the history of singapore.
How a govt can allow a small minority (cyclist) to threaten the safety of the majority (pedestrians) is beyond me.

There is next to no enforcement of the speed limit of 15km/h and its a matter of time these speeding cyclist get run over by a bus or something.
Just wait for the day when a cyclist (normally going to/from the so called Sengkang Riverside Park) kills someone out side the new
hospital. If you want to cycle, ask the govt to build a cycling track for your area and do not bully pedestrians walking .
Anyway you don't have to worry about knocking down a PAP MP or minister as its very unlikely you will see them or their families as pedestrian walking on the footpaths.

I see a lot of the cyclist are foreigners and pedestrians are locals-so its foreigners trying to bully locals again?.
Why do you think the couple threw the 2 oBikes into a ditch ?-it shows how people are fed up with being harassed/bullied and obstructed by cyclist and its a matter of time the dispute turn physical.

Very surprise. Cant believe it. Who set the law?

If everyone followed road safety rules, eg keep to the left unless overtaking, there will be little danger to all users of the walkways.

As someone pointed out, the problem is lack of enforcement and education about the new normal of having bikes on the walkways.

Another example of poorly though out policy. It's a sound one, but poorly executed.
