Hi,

Does anyone know, if the Shipyards, and US Naval Base in Sembawang - wil they be relocated elsewhere ? How nad is the air quality there ? thanks

Don't know about the relocation but the air quality is quite bad pending on where the wind blows. Sometimes after mopping the floor and the wind blows from that direction the floor feels sticky and oily and when you mop it again the water is grey in color. Got a relative staying at Admiralty Link 2/3 bus stops from the Shipyard.

Dont think will relocate in next 5 year . Because it become bigger and built more dock for ship repair..
If you go there 10 year ago and now it will be different.

Yes the air quality around the park there is very bad.
I dun even want to look at the shitty water there too.

Sometimes the air quality there is akin to you being in the middle of a burning Kalimantan forest.. Same situation also at the western end of the island..

If you want to stay near Sambawang wharfs here US Navy dock their ships, you better get yrself a Geiger counter.

Even though ASEAN has a nuclear non pleriferation policy, US has a no-ask, no-tell policy on their nuclear weapons movement.

And a few yrs ago a USN ship went from japan to sembawang without realising there was a radiation leak. It was only later japan realised the fact.
